It’s a new time and a new way forward! The City of Saskatoon is moving to a new multi-year business plan and budget. Rather than one year at a time, you can expect to see a two-year plan and budget created for 2020-2021. We’ve heard from many residents expressing their desire to participate. We are committed to continuously improving on the opportunities we provide. The new multi-year plan and budget is the right time to create even more ways to gather your input and better understand your perceptions, views and priorities for the City of Saskatoon.
The new Civic Satisfaction & Performance Survey kicked off our first significant public engagement activity. This survey was the first of two to gather public input that will then be used in preparing our 2020-2021 Multi-Year Budget. Our ongoing goal is to include as many residents as possible by providing multiple engagement opportunities to participate throughout the year.
The Civic Satisfaction & Performance Survey closed on July 29, 2018. Thank you for participating. Your survey input has been joined to the traditional 500 random telephone and 800 online panel surveys and has been compiled, along with a summary of feedback shared at community outreach events.

Our second major public engagement activity, the Civic Services Survey: Performance, Priorities & Preferences was completed November 16 to December 16, 2018. Thank you for participating. This survey was used to gather insights on residents’ experience/impressions related to the quality of transportation and utility services, community and public services, waste management services and recreation and culture services. It also asked respondents about their service priorities, preferences on the level of services, and performance as related to communications/public engagement.
