As part of the evaluation of speed hump effectiveness in reducing speeds, the City invited public feedback through various methods in October 2018. An online survey was open between Oct. 5 - 30, 2018. Residents adjacent to speed hump installations received a notice delivered to their homes, inviting them to offer feedback through the survey or email/phone call. Roadside message boards were also placed near all speed hump installations in the month of October, inviting road users to take our feedback survey.
City Council’s Standing Policy Committee on Transportation will review the complete temporary speed hump installation dataset (including resident feedback) and make a decision about the future of speed humps. If you would like to be notified when this report goes before Committee, please provide us with your email address under Stay Connected at right .
