Emergency water valve replacement work on College Drive will cause delays

For immediate release: July 12, 2018 - 1:00pm
TU18-430

Early this morning, a water valve leak was identified by the intersection of College Drive and Hospital Drive. Emergency repairs will start early tomorrow morning (July 13th), and are expected to take two days to complete barring unforeseen circumstances or weather delays. This water outage is not impacting University Hospital, however, approximately 50 private homes and businesses are experiencing associated water service interruptions.

Sidewalk replacement and reconstruction work on College Drive has been ongoing for several days, and has reduced lane access in this area. The emergency water valve repair is unrelated to the ongoing sidewalk work.

Two-way traffic will be maintained during this repair work but delays can be expected. Road users are encouraged to use a route other than College Drive while this work is underway. If you must use College Drive, please exercise caution and patience and respect this work zone.

This construction will impact Transit routes. Plan your bus route in advance online at Saskatoontransit.ca or on your mobile device with the real-time Google Maps or Transit App.
