Idylwyld Drive reopens on schedule after major infrastructure improvement work

For immediate release: July 11, 2018 - 3:24pm
TU18-428

Following a three week watermain replacement and road resurfacing project between 33rd and 39th streets on Idylwyld Drive, the road was completely reopened on schedule this Monday (July 9th). Road users may see a truck taking core samples tomorrow (July 12th) to confirm that the asphalt meets the City specifications.

The core sampling, which is expected to impact traffic minimally or not at all, is the final piece of the Idylwyld project. As a result of this project, the reliability and quality of the water distribution has been protected and a key section of a major Saskatoon throughway has been preserved for years to come.

The Idylwyld work was completed in sections and continued over weekends in order to reduce the impact on road users.
