From major infrastructure rehabilitation to general road maintenance, the 2019 construction season is progressing as planned and on schedule in Saskatoon. City Council invested over $61 million in 2019 to make more of Saskatoon’s streets, bridges and sidewalks, smoother, safer and longer-lasting.

August 9, 2019 - 10:10am

Hyde Dog Park will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, August 12 at 7 a.m. The dog park is targeted to reopen at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. This closure will allow for the installation of rip-rap (small to medium sized rocks) in the swale area.

During the closure at Hyde Dog Park, users can continue to enjoy Dog Park access at the following 10 parks:

The College Drive westbound ramp onto McKercher Drive will be closed for street light repairs starting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7. This ramp will be completely closed while work is underway. The project is expected to take one hour to complete, barring unforeseen circumstances or weather delays.

August 6, 2019 - 10:00am

The Saskatoon EX Parade takes place today, Tuesday, August 6, 2019. Road and parking restrictions will be in place on the downtown parade route from 10:00 a.m. until the parade concludes (approximately noon).

Spadina Crescent East from 24th Street East to Warburton Street will be the parade staging area and will be closed from 6:00 a.m. until approximately 12:00 (noon) p.m. This closure will include Queen Street east of 7th Avenue North.

On Saskatchewan Day, Monday, August 5, 2019, the City of Saskatoon will have a number of adjusted civic services, and altered holiday hours, details below.

City Hall:  All Administrative Offices are closed. City Hall reopens Tuesday, August 6 at 8:00 a.m.

Pay Parking Stations: No payment is required on Monday, August 5

Reminder: motorists are still required to park their vehicles within area time limits posted

Municipal Impound Lot: Vehicles will not be released to the public

Saskatoon Public Library: All locations will be closed

Taylor Street East between McKinnon and Munroe avenues will be fully closed starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6 for water and sewer replacement work. A temporary 4-way stop will be in place at the intersection of Clarence Avenue South and 1st Street East. This work is expected to take one week to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
